Who we are

Yardzstyle Construction is a trade name of 10223263 Canada Inc. We are based in Brampton, Ontario. Questions about your information: call (647) 559-4232 or email sales@yardzstyle.com.

What we collect

When you request a visit: your answers about the project, any photos you add, your name, phone, email, the home’s address and postal code, and the visit time you pick.
When you text us after a missed call: your messages, and our text assistant’s summary of them (your first name, the job, where and when, and your number), which we keep with the visit requests.
From our cost tools: nothing that identifies you. If you then book a visit, your tool answers and the range you saw come with your request.
How people find us: we count the pages people open and the cost tools they use, by the kind of site they came from (for example, a Google search). These are counts only, with no name, address or cookie. If you book a visit, the kind of site you came from, the first page you opened and your answer to “How did you find us?” come with your request.
To stop spam: a scrambled code made from your internet address, so we can limit repeated requests. When you book a visit, we never store the address itself, only this code.
When you sign, we keep a signing record: your signature, the time, your internet address, your device, and the email we sent the link to.

Why we use it

To prepare for your visit, book it, and contact you about your project.
To give you a written estimate and, if you hire us, to do the work and keep records.
To plan our visits. We review and rate each request so we can prepare and reply in the right order.

We send texts and emails only about your request. We never sell your information or send marketing without your permission.

Who helps us

These companies handle information for us, only to run this service:

Cloudflare: runs this website, stores requests and photos in North America, protects the site, checks for bots and counts visits without cookies.
Twilio: runs our phone line and texts, including the text assistant, and sends text alerts about new requests to our team.
Our email provider: sends and stores our emails, including your confirmation.
Google Calendar: holds the visit booking.

Some of these companies store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to local laws.

If your home is outside our visit area and you tick the box to allow it, we pass your request to one trusted renovator near you. We share nothing with partners without that permission.

How long we keep it

Photos you add when you book: deleted from the booking after 120 days. If we visit you, they also become part of your visit record, kept as described below.
Your request, or the text assistant’s summary: deleted after two years, unless you hire us. If you don’t hire us, your visit, its photos and our copies of our messages to you are deleted from our online systems once your job has had no activity for two years. Copies of our emails and texts also stay with our email and text-message providers. If you do, we keep your job’s records, such as tax records.
Voice notes we record at your visit: the recording is deleted 14 days after you sign your Scope of Work (or 14 days after it was made, if that is later), or within 90 days if you don’t. The words we took from it stay with your visit notes.
Voicemails you leave us: deleted after 120 days.
Your Scope of Work, every version we send, and its signing record: kept with your job. If you don’t hire us, they are deleted from our online systems with the rest of your job once it has had no activity for two years. A signed Scope of Work stays in our office files, with its signing record and the visit details it came from. A copy also stays in our email. A Scope of Work we never send is deleted after a day.
On your own device, this site remembers your answers for 7 days so you can finish later, and your contact details and the kind of site you came from until you close the page. No tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also withdraw your permission at any time. Call or email us and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
